Heritage Auctions is currently running its 2026 Annual Auction Survey, and for collectors it’s one of the more worthwhile surveys you’ll see this year.
In exchange for answering questions about what you collect and what you’d like to see in future sales, Heritage is offering a grand prize of $10,000 to spend at Heritage Auctions.
What the Survey Covers
The survey asks about:
- What you collect (U.S., world, ancients, currency, etc.)
- What types of material you’d like to see more of
- Your buying and selling habits
- How Heritage can improve future auctions
For collectors who regularly follow Heritage’s U.S. coin, world coin, or ancient coin sales, this is a direct opportunity to influence future offerings. Whether you’d prefer stronger mid-range collector material, expanded world coin sections, or deeper ancient coin selections, this is your chance to weigh in.
Prize Details
The $10,000 grand prize gets the attention, but there are several additional prize tiers:
- Five winners receive $1,000 added to the final settlement of a consignment exceeding $10,000.
- Twenty winners receive a professional review of their collection by a Heritage specialist, including submission of up to 30 coins or notes to PCGS, NGC, or PMG at Heritage’s expense (up to a $5,000 value).
- All respondents receive a coupon to consign one item valued over $1,000 with no seller’s fee in a 2026–2027 Heritage sale.
For active buyers and sellers, those incentives are meaningful.
Important Details
- Survey deadline: March 16, 2026
- One entry per person
- Survey must be completed in full to qualify
- Heritage states responses are confidential and will not be sold
If you already participate in Heritage’s numismatic auctions, the time investment is minimal compared to the potential reward.
What Would You Buy?
$10,000 in auction credit opens a lot of doors. One centerpiece coin? A focused type set upgrade? Filling multiple gaps in a long-running series?
If you complete the survey, let me know what you’d target with $10,000 in Heritage credit.
